Become a Volunteer

HANA offers training for volunteer advocates who wish to help those impacted by sexual trauma. During training volunteer advocates will learn about topics concerning:
HANA services and programs
Sexual Assault

All volunteers must be age 18 or older and have a clear background check.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Client Service Advocates
CSA’s must complete an initial 6-hour volunteer training to learn the skills needed to provide administrative support. Activities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, filling and mailing documents, etc. Administrative Advocates are scheduled in two hour shifts.
Interns must complete a 27.5 - on call training and a HANA orientation. A syllabus is required and a learning contract must be completed.
Event Helpers must fill out a volunteer application.
All volunteers must submit a volunteer application, complete a background check, adhere to the confidentiality policy and adhere to the agency’s volunteer/ intern commitment agreement.
